As with everything in British American Football, lots of chatting on facebook leads to sharing of ideas and good practice. So I’m going to talk about how we film our games and practices at Bournemouth University in a couple of posts.
Being British means that I’m part of a culture; of moaning, queuing, apologising for pointless things; like walking in front of someone, and being overly polite. Which in my time as a coach I’ve seen bleed across into conversations had at clinics, education events and whenever coaches get together. It drives me nuts.
I love this team; their relentless enthusiasm for football and the constant push to get better is amazing..
Every season at the mid-way point I like to get the team together and carry out an exercise where we look at the team’s Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.
I was chatting last night with Stuart Andrew; Head Coach at the Worcester Royals, about building a culture within our teams.
